Much music of Guilmant is not available anymore. Some works have never been published and exist only in manuscript.

- The manuscript of the Ave Verum, opus 1
Guilmant wrote his opus 1 before 1860 in Boulogne. In 1904 he made a new manuscript, but he did mention the opus number 7.
This is a mistake: the work has been published by Lebeau as opus 1. Opus 7 is the 'Te Deum', written in 1856.
- The Heugel edition of the three pieces, (opus 18a)
Guilmant wrote three pieces for organ for a composition competition in 1861. All music written for this contest has been published by
Heugel in Paris in the book "Morceaux d'Orgue Couronnes et Mentionnes au Concours de la Maîtrise",
about 1865. The book is hard to find. Thanks to mr. John Henderson I got a copy of the three pieces of Guilmant.
The first piece, Communion, is also published in the 'Pièces dans différent styles', livraison 4, opus 19. The Communion
was completed on November 20, 1861. The Offertoire on December 2 and the Prélude on December 5, 1861.
Above his manuscript of this music Guilmant wrote 'Trois Pièces pour Orgue, opus 18'.
My father, mr. P.C. Bron sr., made a new edition of those three pieces, based on both
the two stave Heugel edition and the original manuscripts. You can download all three pieces
in this new edition (May 2005) in PDF format:

Guilmant wrote a prayer (melody) for violoncello and piano. The piece is dedicated to his brother Henri.
It was published by Durand (France) and Schott (Belgium).
